Detailed Walkthrough
The Hidden Merchant can be found inside the cave where the x is. It is just south of the Porto Vallum side of the bridge.
Once inside the cave, find the merchant and talk to him to begin this quest.
After you escort him into Porto Vallum, talk to the merchant again to complete this quest.

After you complete this quest, you can go back and forth between this merchant and the other merchant and try to shop for items. A character with a high trading skill can be helpful for those who like to shop.
