Quick Walkthrough
- Find and talk to the Dragon Mer-Kil
- Kill Carnach
- Talk to Mer-Kil again
- Enter the green portal near Mer-Kil
Detailed Walkthrough
After collecting the dragon amulet from the settlement collector in the previous quest, head west to look for Mer-Kil
After leaving the settlement continue west until you reach the exit taking you to the surface.
Once you reach the surface, follow the path around in a clockwise direction until you reach the venerable Mer-Kil.
Mer-Kil says that the petty religious squabbles of the world have no meaning to him and that nothing from this dimension can rival his power (Tell that to the other dragon you killed in the previous quest). He says however, if you kill the Carnach, another creature from beyond this dimension, he will tell you where to find the answers you seek.
Thus begins, The Eldest of the Immortal! Return underground through the cave entrance you just used to reach the surface.
Head towards the quest marker, following the path until you reach another cave taking you deeper into the ground, into the Carnach's cave.
Follow the path until you approach an open area. Take care, the Carnach will attack you as soon as it notices you.
After defeating the Carnach, return to Mer-Kil. He tells you that you will find more information about what you seek in the High Temple in the Lost City, once capital of the ancient elven realm. He even provides a portal for you to travel through.
