- Meet Martin in the hills and pick the letter from him
- Deliver the letter to Grinsbarz in Griffinborough
On the way from the High Elf frontier to Griffinborough you find Martin the Upstart. He tells you he has found some gold in the nearby hills, and wants the rights to mine it. But he explains if he goes to Griffinborough and leaves the place alone someone could discover it and steal his gold. Thus, he asks you to deliver a letter to his brother at Griffinborough, who will arrange the rights and make everything needed to prepare the mining.
You came at the right time. I discovered a vein of gold in this field, now i want to apply for the mining rights. If I leave to go apply, someone could come and steal the gold right out from under my nose. I want you to take this letter to my brother who lives in the city. He'll arrange all that's necessary!
But as you arrive at Griffinborough, and as long as you don't mind earning some easy money, you find it's better to sell the letter to Grinsbarz, the rogue. He offers you some gold in exchange for the letter, so he can take benefit from the mining rights.
What have you got? Let me see...
Hmm! Gold! Not bad, not bad at all. I'd be willing to buy this letter from you. It's a good deal for both of us. You get some gold and I get the mining rights!
A farmer discovered a vein of gold in his field. Now he wants me to deliver a letter to his brother so that he can officially apply for the mining rights. I'll find a way to profit from this, too. I bet there's other people, people with gold, who would find this letter interesting...
I sold the letter to a guy in the tavern, he paid a nice sum of gold for it. I'd like to see the face of that stupid farmer now.
