Sera_6.gif A sudden flash of lightning leaps from the hands of the Seraphim, damaging and weakening the enemy. It may be further modified to become chain lightning.

Modifications

MODicons_12.gif Bronze
  • Laggard - Slows the target down. (30% + 0.2% per CA level reduced movement speed)
  • Disarm - Opponent temporarily loses his weapon. (50% chance)

MODicons_10.gif Silver
  • Potential - Increase the chance that the damage will have a lasting effect on the target. (29.7% + 0.3% per CA level chance)
  • Confuse - Reduces the target's attack value. (150 + 2 per CA level reduced)

MODicons_08.gif Gold
  • Electrocute - The magic damage will definitely induce it's secondary effect. (49 + 24.5 per CA level magic damage over time (+damage modifiers) / same amout as direct magic damage)
  • Chain - Chance for chain lightning. (80% + 0.1% per CA level chance)

Skills

The following skills will affect this combat art:

  • Celestial Magic Lore - improves combat art damage, critical chance and casting speed
  • Celestial Magic Focus - improves regeneration time and increases the maximum combat art level
  • Concentration - directly reduces regeneration time for this skill

Usage Strategies

Baneful smite has very long range, which a player should learn to utilize to the best of his ability. It should be used against small groups of enemies (2-6). You can improve it with the "Chain" mod to strike 2 targets in close proximity for full damage.
