In the desert there is a quest called Sheik Yerbouti (shake your booty). It is in homage to the album/cd by Frank Zappa with the same name.



Watch out where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow...

In yet another bit of Zappa's classic weirdness, he tells the tale of an eskimo named Nanuk who's mother warns him to "Watch out where the huskies go, don't you eat that yellow snow..."

There appears to be a patch of said "evil" substance on Christmas Island. While there aren't any Huskies in the world of Ancaria, there ARE plenty of other creatures that can spontaneously create patches of Yellow Snow. Too bad it can't be used as a weapon...
