Every game of Sacred is controlled by a gameserver. All players' computers in a game must communicate with the gameserver, which keeps track of the positions of everything in game. In return, the gameserver provides all necessary information to each player for screen updates, etc.

In Closed Internet games, the gameserver is also in communication with the Lobbyserver. All player characters in Closed Internet are stored on the Lobbyserver.

When the gameserver loses communication with the lobbyserver, you will see a notification. From this point forward, ANY and ALL changes relating to your character will be lost unless the lobbyserver re-establishes connection BEFORE you leave the game.
