This effect causes Ice Damage over Time. It can be inflicted by the weapons and Combat Arts of opponents and the player. It is NOT caused by the Secondary Damage Effect of Ice known as Freeze.

It is important to note that Armor cannot protect against Damage over Time: Ice. The most effective ways to resist this effect are to use a Recovery Elixir and look for the modifiers Damage Mitigation: Ice +X% and Damage Over Time: Ice -X%.
