Quick Walkthrough
Your character is summoned by her dying sister and charged with finishing the struggle to save Ancaria from the Inquisitors. Your next goal in this quest is to reach Sloeford and then Thylysium.
Detailed Walkthrough
You first get control of your character after the opening cutscenes. Your character is outside the room where the other Seraphim has just died. Cross the bridge and you find yourself in a plaza with a fountain in the center, a chapel on one side and a sleeping room on the other side. The gate leading out is directly accross from you. There are two Inquisitor guards waiting for you right outside the gate. Take them out and proceed down the path toward the South Brigand Camp.
Talk to the guard with the question mark over his head and get the Hunting Highwaymen quest on your way to Sloeford. You will find yourself completing this quest on your way to Sloeford. Complete that quest by talking to the guard with the exclamation point over his head. Then proceed into the town center.
You will receive a message to talk to the village elder. Your gold arrow will point in the direction you need to go to talk to him. At this point you have completed the introductory quest. When you talk to the village elder you will get the next quest Levied Tax.

Notes
Tip: Talk to the guard with a question mark over his head at the South Brigand Camp on your way to Sloeford. You will get the Hunting Highwaymen quest which is the first in a three quest chain that you can complete in Sloeford.
Note: Despite what the quest and logbook say, the next part of this chain begins in Sloeford, not Thylysium.
