With over 1.8 million copies of Sacred and Sacred Underworld sold world-wide, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is the Action Role Playing Game (Action RPG) gamers have been craving.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel features a rich story that takes place in a giant, open-ended and seamless world. This world contains hundreds of dungeons, treacherous opponents and a variety of challenging quests. Intelligent enemies, steadily adapting in number and difficulty based on player progress, challenge in heroic single- and multiplayer battles.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel provides numerous unique items that can be gathered in this mystical world. A deep reward system further enables advancements in character, individual attributes and character-specific fighting styles, each designed to keep players returning to the world of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel to discover what is around the next bend. Drop-in styled cooperative multiplayer gameplay ensures players will enjoy the game alone or seamlessly with friends at any time. Five unique multiplayer modes round out the experience and offer a refreshing, first-class gaming experience in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a prequel and takes place two-thousand years before the original Sacred and the Sacred Underworld expansion, leading the player into a world where the creative energy is still active. Many events familiar from the earlier titles have not yet taken place in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Thus, the Humans are still predominantly servants of the High Elves. The Dwarves still enjoy their somewhat distanced existence and the world is still very different, not yet shaped by the events that are depicted in the previous games..

In Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, there are two completely different paths through the story – each step and decision actively influences the game world. Characters may decide to follow the path of Light or the path of Shadow. Both sides are balanced in their capabilities, yet they regard the world from differing perspectives with opposing aims (and quests). The Seraphim and her counterpart, the Inquisitor, are both fixed in their alignment, only permitted to tread the path of Light or Shadow, respectively. Thus, these two playable characters will persist in their age-long strife, battling each other as diametric opposites.

Players may choose their character class from a pool of six - if selecting the Shadow Warrior, High Elf Adept, Dryad or Temple Guardian classes, the player must then decide whether to pursue the Light or Shadow path. The storyline of both alignments will overlap at times: quest givers and allies of one side may be targets or opponents for the other. Non-player characters will also react according to their own alignment and affinity for the players or player party.

The individualization of the characters – especially in the multiplayer modes – strongly demonstrates the game’s role-playing aspects. Players decide the development of their character based on whether they prefer to play alone, or in a larger group to face tougher challenges sooner. Perhaps their ultimate objective is to seek the challenge of fighting against other players. Even avatars of the same character class will vary greatly in appearance, alignment and abilities, depending on the individual preferences and choices of the players.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is not all about change, however. It remains true to its lineage and offers a rewarding single-player experience as well as an enhanced multi-player mode with the addictive gameplay style that remains focused on addicting action.

Just like the character classes, the regions that can be explored in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel boast unique designs. The High Elf regions outside their cities have distinct characteristics from the home regions of the Seraphim, or those of the Orcs. Flora, fauna and architecture have been adapted according to race, social status and technological development, providing for a rich and diverse backdrop for the immersive, epic gameplay.

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is a living, breathing fantasy world and is the perfect setting for Action RPG heroes to carve out their own legends.
