Detailed Walkthrough
It is highly unlikely that you will just stumble on this quest. In order to get to the Temple of the Gods in Bengaresh Desert, head due west from the Monolith. You will come to another quest giver, turn northwest immediately and head into what appears to be a box canyon. The east wall of the "canyon" can actually be climbed.

At that point, it is a simple matter of walking to the temple.
In the temple, you will meet Malak, Priest of Forens. He is willing to give you his blessing if you make a sacrifice to Forens. The sacrifice is a beetle's wing and clean water.
Sacrifice to Forens and receive my blessing.
Here at the Rock Temple the goddesses presence can be felt, don't you agree? No? Then you must sacrifice to Forens so you can feel her presence again. Find things that will please her like clean water and maybe a beetle wing. Bring them to me and I shall bless you.
The beetle's wing is easy to obtain from a scarab. Walk out and climb down to the desert floor.
