Detailed Walkthrough
You'll find Fisher Gisbert along the banks of the West-Skookemchuck River, just below the Wargfels portal. It's a seemingly blissful scene of an old man whiling away the time fishing on the dock. But when you speak to him you'll learn that he's hasn't been very lucky lately. He fell off a roof last summer and broke his arm. And if that wasn't bad enough he recently cut his leg while chopping wood.

He asks if you could gather the fish from his trap along the shore and since he seems to be in a bit of pain you agree to help out. There are a total of three traps to collect fish from. One just south of you and 2 more a short walk north, on either side of the bridge. You're done fairly quickly and return to Gisbert with haul.

He is delighted that you even managed to snag a pike among the catch.

He hands you an axe (probably the one he cut himself with) as thanks, but you'll notice he isn't quite done talking yet. He's got another ? over his head.

Wow! He might have gangrene? And he was worried about the fish? Doesn't sound like he's got his priorities in the right order. Maybe it's going gangrene already. To be honest it doesn't look....or smell good at all. Think I need to head to the local garrison ASAP!!
You'll find the garrison a short walk east on the main road from Wargfels portal toward Black Oaks. You'll find the Commander easy enough...just look for the biggest tent

Talking to the Commander will complete Deep Wounds. Speaking to him again will start the 2nd part of the chain quest Fresh Bandages
