Languages:

Collect some items. Most are scattered on the map. Some require extraction from living or demonic beings.
Then... dun dun dun! Go to the 'cave'.
The nearby cave (at least there was a cave nearby when I completed collection... is not the correct cave. The cave I found nearby was the one used for the General quest... the one with the lich.
So, I'll optimistically assume that I need to go deeper into the Blood Forest to find the right cave. (... and I was right. The correct cave is across a walkway... a little to the right of the main path. Just follow the edge of the map northwest and you should get there just fine. The male mage is waiting outside in his purple robe. He does not show up on the main map... so be aware!
