It only uses up a weapons slot if socketed properly, leaving room for whatever armor you want (Some sets include armor and rings that aren't too good i.e. Khrag's Splint Guards [Dark Elf]). Remember, it requires a minimum of 10 Sword Lore to use any of the items from this set.
- However powerful, the sword does only fire damage, making it weak against fire-resistant enemies (such as all denizens of the Lava region, and, to a lesser extent, Orcs). Therefore it is advised to complement its fire damage by rings which grant other damage types socketed into armor slots if one intends to use this otherwise amazing weapon against such foes.
