Ancaria The fictional land in which all Sacred activity occurs.
Attack Rating, or AR: Indicates how effectively your character attacks foes. It is used in conjunction with the opponent's Defense Rating to calculate your chance "To Hit" an opponent.

Battle Mage One of the eight character classes that can be played in Sacred.

Daemon One of the eight character classes that can be played in Sacred.
Dark Elf One of the eight character classes that can be played in Sacred.
Defense Rating, or Def: Indicates how effectively your character avoids enemy attacks. Used in conjunction with opponent's Attack Rating to calculate the "To Be Hit" chance.
Dwarf One of the eight character classes that can be played in Sacred.

Gladiator One of the eight character classes that can be played in Sacred.

NPC An NPC (NonPlayingCharacter) is a character in Ancaria that you can interact with, not associated with a player in the game; they are controlled by the game itself. Some of them play special roles, such as Quest Givers, Smiths, Merchants and Combo Masters. Others merely converse with you. What the NPC says may provide useful information later in the game. It may also be an indication of your esteem in the "community". The more quests you complete, the more you are appreciated. NPCs are shown as blue or white dots on the minimap. White indicates that the NPC will interact with a quest; blue NPCs will just speak with you.
