This is the name for the 3-part 'chain-quest' starting in Artamark's Gate.

The three quests in this chain are:

  1. A Long Lost Letter
  2. Following Orders
  3. Forgotten Valleys


Quick Walkthrough

1. A Long Lost Letter

  • Talk to Scholar Farek
  • Visit Gundel, the "Herb Woman", for a clue as to where to find a copy
  • Go to the dungeon where there may be a copy.
  • Defeat the ghosts hanging out there
  • Collect the book
  • Return to Farek
  • Go to the Ghost Village
  • Talk to the guard at the bridge
  • Be told you can't go in.

2. Following Orders

  • Find some means to prove to the ghost guard that you've got permission to enter.
  • Visit the Last Watch cemetery
  • Go into the catacombs
  • Find the baron's grave
  • Find the baron's ring
  • Retrieve the ring
  • Return to the ghost guard
  • Gain entry to the Ghost Village
  • Go inside.

  • Talk to Village Elder Gerwein
  • Get quest to find out why it's dark
  • Go kill enemy soldiers in the next camp
  • Go kill the Evocator
  • Return to Village Elder Gerwein
  • Receive his diary of what happened and his thanks
