HE_1.gif The classic spell favored by novices and masters alike. However, variations allow the fireball to be customized and wielded as a succession of blazing rapid fire spheres, or it could become a large, explosive fire-and-forget projectile.

  • Does 33% Physical and 66% Fire Damage.
  • Percent of Fire damage increases per CA level

  • Greek Fire - Increases the chance that the hit opponent will burn. (29.7% + 0.3% per CA level chance)
  • Explosion - Fireballs inflict area effect damage on nearby opponents. (59.5% + 0.5% per CA level chance)

  • Fusillade - Conjures an additional fireball. Overall damage will be increased but divided between the fireballs.
  • Globe - The fireball increases in size and inflicts more damage. (40% increase)

Usage Strategies

Ancestral Fireball is a very versatile skill. It can be modded to be used either as primary attack combat art, or as supporting one. Usage: - damage and area of effect damage - multi-hitting (up to 3 fireballs) - up to 2 homing fireballs

Due to its damage to mobs being quickly outclassed by blazing tempest and damage to bosses being quickly outclassed by incendiary shower, it may be a good idea to mod incandescent skin, blazing tempest and incendiary shower before modding fireball.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Very versatile skill
  • Can be used against single and multiple enemies
  • Good damage and area of effect damage (with mod)
  • Can get to extremely low casting times (like 0.5s)
  • Can have up to 2 homing fireballs

Cons

  • Homing fireballs miss if an enemy is behind an obstacle
  • Area of effect damage is outclassed by Blazing Tempest
  • If you pick Fusilade & Homing, the second fireball will target a different monster, though if you're close enough to the first target it will still hit that.
