Introduction:The Capricious Hunter

Ranged combat comes easily to the Dryad, and her prowess with these weapons is frightening. She is second to none when stealthily attacking from a distance, and can inflict great damage before being seen.

Capricious Hunter Combat Arts

Ravaged Impact

Devastating attack with the equipped ranged or close combat weapon.

Darting Assault

A rapid ranged or close combat attack hitting multiple targets within range.

Forest Flight

The Dryad will teleport toward her target extremely fast. This combat art has a small chance to root opponents at the position where she teleports from.

Dust Devil

The Dryad whirls around creating a cloud of dust that will allow her to evade attacks more easily. It will also protect allies.

Sinister Predator (Buff)

While active Sinister Predator increases the attack speed of and chance to hit with all ranged weapons, and will also add a chance that opponents will drop a Shrunken Head.

Capricious Hunter Runes

When Forged into items, the runes of the Capricious Hunter aspect will boost the levels of the applicable Combat Arts (for the Dryad only) and will also provide a secondary effect of Chance for Poison for all characters.

Capricious Hunter Skills

Capricious Hunter Focus Improves regeneration, raises max Combat Art level, and unlocks modification points for Capricious Hunter.

Tactics Lore Increases damage and chance for critical hits with all weapons. Unlocks modification points for Capricious Hunter.

Capricious Hunter Monitor Lizard

The Monitor Lizard for the Capricious Hunter aspect is a grass-green color. The Ice and Blood version of this special mount is called the Battle Monitor, and its saddle is adorned with tribal feathers.

Bonuses and Penalties

Like all special mounts, this Monitor gives a large bonus to the rider's hitpoints and defense at the cost of increasing the regeneration penalty of combat arts.

However, this aspect mount gives a special bonus which offsets the regeneration penalty to Capricious Hunter. Therefore, a Dryad specializing as a Capricious Hunter will desire this Monitor. Combined with the Riding skill, regeneration times for this aspect will eventually be lower when mounted than on foot!

Capricious Hunter Set: Detheya's Agility

Detheya's Agility is a set specially focused on the Capricious Hunter aspect, giving bonuses to all five combat art levels and their regeneration times. It is heavier armor for the Dryad, designed to protect her while increasing her offensive power with Ranged and Close-Combat weapons.
